Choose a question:
How do I order a commission?
Send me an email explaining what you are looking for.
You can find all the information you need in 'About commissions'.
I'm in a rush. Could I get a painting in less than 4 weeks?
This is often possible, although it does depend on my workload. If you need your portrait by a specific date, don't hesitate to contact me. I'll always do my best to accommodate.
Do you sell your paintings to customers outside the UK?
Yes, although there will be an additional charge for shipping outside the UK.

How do I pay for a commission?
Once all the details of the commission are agreed you will be asked to pay 50% deposit. The remainder is payable upon completion and prior to despatch. I'll send you an invoice by email when payment is due and you can either pay by PayPal or bank transfer. Please note that PayPal is the only payment option available to customers outside the UK.
How much is postage?
Please see the Terms and Conditions for delivery costs.
Do you offer a framing service?
Frames are not included as standard, but in response to customer demand, I'm happy to take care of the framing for you. I use a local framing company who provide custom-made frames at reasonable prices. If you'd like this, just ask me for a quote.
What's the difference between acrylics, pastels, watercolours and ink?
Ultimately the choice of medium comes down to personal preference.
You can find out more about the different materials here.
Do you do portraits in oils?
I don't currently offer my portraits in oils. The acrylics option is the closest alternative. I use only quality acrylic paints and the finished painting is coated with a varnish for protection.
Do you do other types of commission, such as portraits of people?
Yes, you can commission a portrait of a child or other person. I may also consider other subjects, depending on the availability of time and the quality of photographs provided. If you are interested in commissioning a painting that isn't a portrait, please contact me to discuss your requirements.
I only have photo prints, not digital. Does that matter?
Digital photos are preferred, but I can also use printed photos, which you would need to send by post. The most important thing is that the photograph has sufficient clarity and detail for me to reproduce. I'll assess your photos for suitability and discuss with you before proceeding.
